How to choose the right sofa scale
The right sofa is not simply the one that fits. It should define circulation, preserve sight lines and match how you actually use the room.

01
Measure the path around it
Before width, think about movement. Map doors, windows and the natural route through the room, then preserve generous passage around the sofa.
02
Choose depth for behaviour
A deeper seat supports lounging. A more upright seat works better for conversation and compact rooms. Comfort is a use case, not one universal dimension.
03
Balance visual weight
Low broad sofas need lighter tables or open-leg chairs nearby. The eye reads mass before it reads measurements.
